Manifests and condition grades
Know exactly what you’re buying. Here’s what our manifests include and what each condition grade means.
What’s on a manifest
Our manifests list each item’s description, quantity and estimated retail value, and where available the brand, model or UPC. You receive the manifest with your order confirmation so you can review it before paying. Mystery pallets are the only lots sold without a manifest.
Condition grades
- Customer returns
- Items returned by retail customers. Expect a mix of like-new, open-box, working with cosmetic wear, and some items that need repair or are best for parts. Returns are generally sold untested.
- Overstock
- Excess new inventory that never sold. Items are typically new in original packaging, though boxes may show warehouse wear.
- Shelf pulls
- Products removed from store shelves to make room for new stock. Items are usually new, with occasional price stickers or light packaging wear.
- Scratch & dent
- Items with cosmetic damage such as scratches or dents from shipping or display. Most remain functional, which keeps the price low.
- Short-dated
- Sealed products approaching their best-by date. Best for buyers who can sell through stock quickly.
- Mixed condition
- A combination of customer returns, overstock and shelf pulls. Many items are new or like-new, while some show wear or need minor attention.
Manifest questions
What is a pallet manifest?
A manifest is a list of the items on a pallet, usually with product names, quantities and estimated retail values. It helps you judge a pallet’s potential before you buy.
Are manifests 100% accurate?
Manifests come from the original retailer or our own sorting and are generally reliable, but small variances in counts or items can occur with liquidation goods.
What does “estimated retail” mean?
It’s the total original retail price of the items on the manifest. Actual resale value is typically lower and depends on condition and your sales channels.
